Ebrahim can look back at 44 years of experience. His passion for design is one of his most signature characteristics. Since he was a young boy, he has always wanted to be an architect. Today, it is impossible to ignore Ebrahim’s natural talent and love for his profession.

While in architecture school, Ebrahim befriended renown German architect Georg Heinrichs, who took Ebrahim under his wing. Ebrahim soon began working with the firm, and shaped the famous “Autobahnueberbauung” project, which is now taught as an example of architectural innovation at universities worldwide.

Early on, Ebrahim worked as a freelance architect and planned the museum “Kunsthalle Bremen” for Professor Werner Duettmann, as well as a residential project for Professor Johannes Uhl. Passionate about preserving the lifestyle and old culture of Berlin, Ebrahim became an expert in the restoration of heritage buildings.

In 1988, Ebrahim founded his own firm, Architekturbüro Hatai, in Berlin. His firm completed a variety of projects, including multi family residential homes, resort hotels, a Baptist church, single family homes, and the restoration of whole city blocks under the City of Berlin’s affordable housing program. Developers appreciate Ebrahim’s outstanding communication skills and ability to negotiate with building authorities in a way that creates beneficial situations for both parties.

At the end of 2006, Ebrahim joined his family in Vancouver. He became a developer, designing and building several single family homes in the city.

Ebrahim studied at the Universität der Künste Berlin, and obtained the title of Master in Sculpting and Painting in 1977, and a Diplom-Designer degree in Interior Design in 1978. He went on to study architecture and holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Architecture, which is equivalent to a Master’s of Science (MSc). Ebrahim registered with the Chamber of Architects in Berlin on January 27, 1988, and in the State of Brandenburg on May 27, 1992.
